Dipped
Banana
Pops
Do you have a dessert that brings back a special memory?
These Dipped Banana Pops bring waves of nostalgia and take me back to the times I've visited Disneyland and enjoyed their popular chocolate covered frozen bananas. Since we decided on a staycation this year, I wanted to bring some Disney magic into my house by making these treats at home but to customize them with ingredients I have in stock. My homemade version is just as delicious, so simple to make and really satisfies a sweet tooth. All it takes is 4 main ingredients and 10 minutes of your time to create this tasty treat. If you want, you can customize and get creative with this dessert too. Check out my easy recipe below!

Freeze Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour and 10 minutes
Author: Huma Naz
Ingredients:
-
2 medium bananas
-
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
-
1/2 cup low-fat yogurt
-
1/2 cup granola
-
4 bamboo skewers or popsicle sticks
Directions:
-
Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Peal the bananas and slice each banana in half. Insert a bamboo skewer or popsicle stick into each banana half. Lay them onto the parchment paper.
-
Melt the chocolate chips using a double-boiler method.
-
Dip 2 banana halves into the melted chocolate, coating as much of the banana as you want. You can also just drizzle the chocolate over the banana as well with a spoon. This step should be done quick since the chocolate may harden quick.
-
Dip the other 2 banana halves into the yogurt. You may have to use a spoon to help coat the yogurt.
-
Place dipped bananas onto the parchment paper, sprinkle over granola and freeze for about 1 hour or until bananas are frozen and enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
-
Extra dipped bananas can be wrapped in parchment paper and frozen for about 2 weeks.
-
Use certified gluten-free granola if you are avoiding gluten for gluten-free diet.
