Salad Bowl

Bright magenta leathery skin and unique juicy flesh with tiny soft seeds, Dragon fruit also known as strawberry pear or pitaya, is truly a majestical fruit to eat. It is packed with nutrients like vitamin C, magnesium, iron, some protein, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and even fiber that is beneficial for gut health!

This Dragon Fruit Salad Bowl is so simple and fun. It requires minimal effort but is most definitely one of the most fancy and gorgeous- looking fruit salads I have ever seen! All you do is carve out the dragon fruit with a mini scoop, toss all colorful fruits into the dragon fruit shell, squeeze a pinch of lime, decorate with mint and/or other toppings and TA-DA there is your masterpiece!

Dragon Fruit Bowl Recipe

Ingredients:

1 large dragon fruit, white flesh

1/2 lime
-
6 fresh mint leaves

1/3 cup strawberries, chopped
-
1/3 cup blueberries
-
1 small mango, chopped
-
optional: unsweetened coconut flakes

Directions:

Slice the dragon fruit in half. Scoop out the flesh with a small ice cream scoop. If you don't have a small ice-cream scoop you can just scoop/chop it as you like until the flesh is entirely cleaned out of the dragon fruit shell.

Combine & toss all of the chopped fruit into the dragon fruit shell and decorate with mint leaves.

Lastly, squeeze the lime juice into each dragon fruit bowl and enjoy! You can sprinkle over unsweetened coconut flakes as well.
