Halloween is just around the corner, and it's the perfect time for scary movie marathons, fun costumes, and, of course, some Halloween-themed treats! What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than with these spooktacular snacks that are also nutritious?
Getting creative with fruits, veggies, nuts, and other healthy finger foods can be a fantastic way to encourage healthier choices at home. These treats are not only fun for kids and adults alike but will also make you scream with joy!
So, let's dive into these creepy little snacks that are sure to make your Halloween both festive and healthy. Enjoy the spooky season with these delicious and nutritious bites!

Yogurt & Pretzel Spider Webs
What you need:
- Yogurt of your choice 
- Pretzel sticks 
- 1 decorating piping bag 
- Parchment paper 
Instructions:
- Place yogurt into a piping bag and create a dime-sized filled in circle with yogurt on the parchment paper. 
- Break the pretzel sticks in 1/2 and arrange the pretzel sticks radiating out from the yogurt circle in a circular pattern. 
- Start creating the web by piping some yogurt onto the center of the pretzels stick circle to bind them together then starting from this center, slowly draw a spiral working your way to the outer edges of the pretzels.Make sure the yogurt comes out thin enough to look like a web but thick enough to hold together. 
- Repeat these steps for each web. 
- Freeze for 20 minutes or until the yogurt hardens. Carefully remove the web from the parchment paper and enjoy right away. 
Messy Little Apple Monsters
What You Need:
- Apples 
- Peanut butter or nut butter of your choice 
- Any of these to create eyes, teeth, and other features(grapes, mini marshmallows, berries, sunflower seeds, nuts like almonds, dried cranberries, etc)- you can get creative & use your imagination! 
Instructions:
- Cut an apple into quarters/wedges. Cut some of the center out of each wedge to create a mouth-opening. 
- Fill the mouth-opening with peanut or nut butter and create teeth with sunflower seeds, mini marshmallows, or even sliced almonds. 
- Use the peanut or nut butter as glue and get creative by sticking on eyes made from cranberries or a tongue made from strawberry slices. 
- Repeat these steps for each apple monster. 
- Serve your little messy monsters & enjoy! 
Cheesy Witches Brooms
What You Need:
- Pretzels 
- Cheese sticks 
- Chives 
Instructions:
- Chop the cheese stick in 1/2. 
- To create a broom effect, pull the ends of the cheese stick apart. 
- Insert a pretzel stick into the top 1/2 of that cheese slice. You can use a toothpick to create a hole at the top where you'd like to insert the pretzel stick. 
- Repeat these steps for each broom. 
- Wrap the top of the string cheese with a chive & enjoy!
